Established in 1994, the Johor Skills Development Centre (JSkills)—formerly known as PUSPATRI—is 100% owned by Johor Corporation (JCorp).

Located in the heart of the Pasir Gudang industrial zone, JSkills was established to answer the growing demand for technical expertise in Malaysia’s industrial sectors. What We Do

We began by offering basic industrial training, but over the years, we’ve grown into a dynamic training hub recognised by top government bodies like the Ministry of Human Resources and the Energy Commission. Today, we offer over 120 industry-relevant courses, from short-term skill boosts to longer certified programmes tailored for school leavers and graduates alike.

Introduction of Basic Industrial Skills
JSKILLS began offering technical training programs to support the growing industries in Pasir Gudang, laying the foundation for future workforce development.

Rapid growth with programs in automation, electrical, welding, IT, and safety.

JSKILLS became a key industrial training hub for Johor’s workforce.

Industry Collaboration & Flexible Learning
JSKILLS now partners with major industries to design custom in-house training.
Offers flexible learning modes — full-time, weekends, evening classes — to meet workforce needs.

Founded by Perbadanan JohorJohor Skills Development Centre (JOHOR SKILLS) was officially established on 1 July 1993, located on a 4-acre campus in Pasir Gudang Industrial Area, Johor.

Graduate Upskilling & School Leavers’ Programs

Launch of Graduate Skills Enhancement Programs (Safety & Health Officer, Steam Plant Engineer, NDT Inspector, Robotic & Automation System).
Introduction of SKM-certified programs (Levels 2 & 3) for school leavers.
Duration: 5–24 months, meeting industry demand for skilled workers.
